It began as a city…
and became a vision
Ungdomsbyen was founded through a close collaboration between the state, private businesses, public institutions, and civil society. From the beginning, the goal has been to create meaningful encounters between young people and the world around them. Over the years, Ungdomsbyen grew into a hub for courses, meetings, and educational development, welcoming around 25,000 students and teachers annually. Our mission remains the same: to connect education with real-life perspectives and strengthen young people’s understanding of society and their role in it.
Bringing the world home to your students
We bridge the gap between global policy and pedagogical practice. As national coordinators, Ungdomsbyen supports the Danish UNESCO network through professional sparring, international conferences, and study tours across 180 countries.
